Welcome to the University of The West Indies Computing Society. Founded in 1996, this society, aims to educate its members about the role of computing, information and technology in everyday life. To this end uwics has embarked on a lecture series campaign that brings the world of computing to our members' fingertips.
All Meetings and Events are held in the Computer Science Lab 2, 2nd floor Nat Sci Bld from 2pm-4pm unless stated otherwise.

This is the first part of a two part series in networking.
Wired networking will be featured this week, where you'll learn how crimp your own cables and the basics of networking.

Pronounced muh-duhl-uhn, they are a comprehensive technology solution consulting firm primarily serving the Healthcare and Life Sciences industries. Medullan specializes in business automation, multi-tier, multi-channel solutions for a wide spectrum of problem sizes and requirements.

Event: LAN Party
On Thursday 30th, Spetember will be hosting our first LAN Party. We will be playing Soldier of Fortune and DOTA. For those members not interested in gaming, we will be showing two movies, Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio during these hours.

We're starting off with a bang! Microsoft will be presenting at our 1st meeting.
They will be presenting on Imagine Cup 2011 and then there will be a practical demonstartion on some of the latest Microsoft technologies such as Visual Studio 2010 and Windows Azure Platform.
